The Juncal Glacier a Beautiful experience

Hi friends hope all are fine

Today I will talk about one of my most interesting trips I made in my life.

In the year 2009 with an elective course of the university, I visited a glacier in the Andes mountains, this is located in the Valparaíso region.

The glacier tongue of  "juncal Park" is an interesting  ice body whish  falls more than three thousand feet to our feet, and that is part of the largest glacier in the Central Andes and one of the few in the world growing at the foot of the imposing  Juncal Hill, of 6,100 m. (20,000 ft.). The landscape offers an impressive view of "Monte alto de los Leones", mountain considered by many as the Matterhorn.

It was certainly an unforgettable experience for all the adventures we go through.

The bus that transported us from Santiago, we stopped at a park shelter at the beginning of Juncal, then we had to walk with our classmates on a trail about 5 hours to get to where they would establish our camp. That night we camped for the next day move up the glacier.

The next day we equips, and began the ascent the most beautiful place  I've lived outdoors.
The main objective of this trip was to recognize one of the main water sources for the future, and view the impressive geomorphology derived from this large body of ice on the ground, and apply all previously acquired knowledge in class.

If you want to visit the glacier you can also find more information on this link

if you like the outdoors and extreme adventure you have to go "yes or yes"
